Tucson International Airport has two official taxi operators — VIP Taxi and Yellow Cab. To reach the taxicab stand from the main terminal, exit Baggage Claim on the lower level and cross the roadways to the second island. If going from the C gates, cross the roadway toward the parking lot and turn right.

Taxi fares are set at $5.50 to start and $2.25 per mile. A minimum fare for Tucson Airport taxi services is $12. Since the University of Arizona is 8 miles away, the approximate taxi fare from TUS would be $23.50.
